The church plays a central role in the lives of billions of people around the world at any given point in time. A big part of the reason what that is the case has to do with the fact that people go to church to get away from the stress of their daily lives, and most often this enables them to have a deeper and more personal connection with god as well which is certainly something that most people would end up being interested in in some way, shape or form.
That said, churches need to realize that their decoration matters a lot more than they might realize. You see, when people go to any church, they need to be reminded that they are in a holy place. Churches must use their decorations to facilitate their status as places of worship where people go to elevate their lives beyond the day to day grind that comes with trying to keep one’s head above water in this economy. If the church that someone goes to looks drab and unappealing, chances are that they would not have as spiritual of an experience as they might otherwise have been capable of attaining.
It is the responsibility of people that manage these places of worship to ensure that people always feel comfortable in these spaces. A lack of comfort is one of the primary reasons for people not wanting to go to church anymore, and this has resulted in some of the lowest attendance rates that have ever been seen. Religious establishments must change their opinion on aesthetics otherwise church attendance will continue to drop and this is something that would be terrible for the world in general.
